| 内容記述 | Recently, "performance-based assessment" is remarkable as one of the methods to evaluate studentsʼ learning status of thinking, judgment, presentation, etc.. The objective of this paper is to introduce performance-based assessment into home economics classes on consumer life and behavior in Japanese elementary schools, and to examine the process of introducing performance-based assessment and the potentialities and/or actual tasks conducted in conjunction with it. To achieve this objective, we gave lessons on consumer life and behavior to fifth grade students of Japanese elementary schools, introducing performance-based assessment with the last lesson. After these lessons, we analyzed and assessed studentsʼ descriptions. The results were as follows : 1) We developed the task for "performance-based assessment" of buying a travel bag, a raincoat and a pair of working gloves, because these were necessary goods for students because of the training camp, a few months later. 2) We made the rubric for "performance-based assessment" on the viewpoint of the buying objective, the reasoning and the performance. 3) As the result that we analyzed studentʼs descriptions and assess them according to the rubric, the assessment score sometimes varied among three scorers. 4) We could devise better teaching methods with reference to the results of "performance-based assessment." | |||||
